Civil War Reenactment 2017

Admission: $10 adults; youth ages 3-12 $5; members free
Description: Thousands of visitors and reenactors flock to Hale Farm & Village annually for this popular summertime event—the largest annual Civil War reenactment in Ohio. Meet soldiers, cavalry, and civilians. Hear the sounds of battle and smell the gunpowder. Shake hands with President Lincoln or shop for a hoopskirt. Don't miss the excitement!

35th annual Shaker Woods Festival 
Dates: August 12-13, 19-20, 26-27, 2017
This popular festival features over 200 of the best juried craftspeople in the country. Each craftsperson will be dressed in Shaker period clothing while demonstrating and selling their remarkable handmade wares. Stroll rustic paths throughout the beautifully manicured woods and visit the many booths, while enjoying the aroma of great country cooking and the sound of free entertainment located at three different stages throughout the woods. Octane Nights On Main Street – Celebrate Portage will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017. This is our HUGE Car Cruise where we shut the road down for ¼ mile from Mongoose Motorsports to A&W. This will be our 4th year Celebrating Portage! 2014 was our first year and we had over 700 cars in attendance with spectators everywhere! 2015 brought over 900 cars with thousands of spectators as well! In 2016 Mother Nature decided to rain on us all day long and we still had 860 cars in attendance!! The spectators didn't disappoint either!! We hope to see you this year at our family friendly event! Stay tuned for more information!! This is one event you don't want to miss!!

The Made in Ohio Art & Craft Festival features Ohio artisans, local restaurants and all that Hale Farm & Village has to offer!
The $5 admission fee includes one day admission to the art festival as well as the grounds, buildings and period craft demonstrations at Hale Farm & Village.

Our vendors include jewelry artists, potters, carvers, glass artists, soap and lotion makers, quilters and a variety of unique crafters. You will be amazed at the variety of the vendors and the one-of-a-kind finds! In addition, we have a variety of food vendors and local wines and beers. These two days are all about Ohio! Let's celebrate our incredible state!
